this is probably my fav project you have EVER done. its really sweet, smooth, and clean. very professional and commercial looking. your best so far IMO. great work, and congrats on getting your work with destopography. is this your first year with them?
you should do more work like this, it looks GREAT!!! to be quite honest though, i think alot of it has to do do with shadows and lighting, which i find alot of your work lacks. your lighting tends to be pretty good, but as for shadows (as in actual lingering shadows) they are very light, or non existent. here, you have applied them more so than you do in your other works, and what i have found is that shadows tend to make an image really flow nicely. it eliminates the cut-and-paste feel of the work. now on the other hand, your work uses SOOOOO many different layers, and source images, stock, etc it would be hard to keep up with it all. i wonder, does your computer crash? haha... but in all seriousness, this is amazing! i love it!
wow, 12 hours, thats it? lol.. your alot better than i thought. something like this piece here would take me days probably.. but i get really nitty gritty. ill work on a single object trying to fix the lighting just right (ill go in and tweak with a 1px brush just to get the fine details... lol) most of my personal work (not the photoshop contests.. im starting to post those as well... just fun shit, nothing serious) takes me 2-4 days to complete. separated unity took me over a week, but i taught myself those techniques and no tutorials, and it came out pretty damn good. separated reality took me 2 days... about 20 hours or so.
P.S. when i see something i like... i DO look at every detail. some of your stuff i have stared at for 20 minutes. haha...
